Sailor Bracelets

This bracelet is woven using Turks head knots. These knots date back to 1833 and are turban shaped knots worked on a rope with a small piece of line. Sailors made the bracelets and then allowed them to shrink to size on their wrists. A great souvenir of the old-time sailing days.
